The Ishwar Deshmukh Institute of Pharmacy (IDIOP), Digras, proudly celebrated World Pharmacists Day on 25th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from students and staff. Tijare, who emphasized the significance of World Pharmacists Day and the responsibilities of pharmacists in the modern healthcare system. Mr. Milind Kaleshwarkar, in his keynote address, highlighted the critical role played by pharmacists in ensuring the safe and effective use of medicines. He also motivated the students to embrace the values of ethics, knowledge, and service in their professional journey. Mr. Sunil Harsulkar also addressed the gathering and shared insightful guidance with students and faculty members regarding the evolving scope of the pharmacy profession and the need for continued learning and professional integrity. Participation and Organization: The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of students from both B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses, along with the dedicated staff members of IDIOP. The event was skilfully hosted by Ms. Shubhashree Khandare, a Third Year B. Pharm student, who also presented the Vote of Thanks, acknowledging the efforts and presence of all dignitaries, staff, and students. On 17th August 2024, Ishwar Deshmukh Institute of Pharmacy, Digras, in collaboration with Savitabai Uttamrao Deshmukh Mahavidyalaya, organized a Health Check-Up Camp at Savanga village, Digras Taluka. Our dedicated pharmacy students and staff worked tirelessly from 10 AM to 2 PM, providing essential health services. They determined blood groups, checked Hb counts, and monitored pulse rates. The camp was a great success, offering our students valuable experience while serving the community with care and compassion.
DBKSS Ishwar Deshmukh Institute of Pharmacy Digras, has conducted the awareness rally on the occasion of World Pharmacist Day on 25th September 2024 at 9.00 am to 11.00 am under the guidance and inspiration from Shri Sanjay ji Uttamrao Deshmukh, Chairman and Sau. Vaishalitai Sanjayji Deshmukh, Secretary Durgamata Bahuuddeshiya Krida and Shaikshanik Sanstha, Chincholi. The rally was also guided by the principal, teaching and non-teaching staff of the institute, with the vision and mission of making people aware about the Pharmacy profession and its potential. The students enjoyed the rally by giving positive message to common people. On the occasion of this Pharmacist Day students in teams of 4 each, had gone to various schools and rural areas of Digras, for giving the presentation about various disease in front of the children of the schools of Digras and rural areas public. The student has given the explanation about the causes and disease management, prevention from the disease and its treatment. The information was informative to the children’s and their parents to save their family from the common causing diseases like malaria, dengue, sickle cell, diabetes, anaemia, infection, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, and stress management. The chemist association of Digras also join the rally and given a massage of the unity which serves and saves the various community in society.
Ishwar Deshmukh Institute of Pharmacy will be Conducting final matches of various sport competitions like Carrom, Chess, Kho-Kho, Lagori, Tug of war for boys & girls, 100 meter running, 200 m running etc on 28/09/2023. The winning teams & players will be awarded with trophies and certification of winning and participation too on 28/09/2023. This Ganesh festival is spiritual moment for teaching, non teaching staff and students which made these Pharmacy students to work hard henceforth they showed best performance in sports and arrangements. The students got succeed in best out come of sport as a winning trophy in their name.
